Call for Participation and Student Travel Grants (deadline Oct. 29)
42nd IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium (RTSS)
Dortmund, Germany (in-person participation) and around the globe
December 7th to 10th, 2021
We invite you to participate in the 2021 IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium (RTSS), the premier conference on real-time systems to be held in Dortmund for in-person participation and around the globe for online participation.
Registration deadline for participants: December 10th, 2021 (possible till the last day of the
TCRTS maintains a TCRTS Industry Contacts List with community members working in the industry in real-time systems-related topics that are available/interested in collaborating in our industry-oriented initiatives. These may include occasional surveys (not more than 1 or 2 a year), invitations to participate in program committees of conferences and workshops, and panels in such events.

You are welcomed to contact TCRTS (by sending an email to email@example.com) for reaching out to industry contacts for activities, including but not limited to:
- Answering surveys/questionnaires on industrial practice in real-time systems
- Serving on Technical Program Committees of conferences and workshops
- Participating in panel discussions at conferences
- Giving presentations/keynotes at conferences
- Attending conferences and workshops
- Collaborating with researchers and publishing papers
- Discussing problems and potential solutions with researchers

The IEEE Technical Community on Real-Time Systems (TCRTS) is pleased to announce that Robert Davis won the recent elections for TCRTS Vice-Chair. Robert will be the Vice-Chair in the 2022-2023 term and take the role of TCRTS Chair in 2024-2025.
Congratulations to Robert Davis for his election and our best wishes for the coming terms.
The TCRTS also expresses sincere appreciation to the other candidates, namely Sharon Hu and Gerhard Fohler, for standing in the election.

The IEEE Technical Community on Real-Time Systems is pleased to announce that it will sponsor Student Travel Grants to support the participation of students in RTSS 2021. Each grant will contribute towards partial reimbursement of actual travel costs. A budget of USD 21,000 is available this year for travel grants.
Application deadline: 29th of October 2021
Decision notification: 5th of November 2021
